Nouns
common nouns and proper nouns
* A common noun is a general name for a class of object , people or places
* A proper noun is name of a specific person , place or thing. A proper noun always begins with a capital                      letter.


 * Plural Nouns 
plural form of a noun names more than one.  It usually ends with s or es.

Add es to make nouns plural that end with:
us
buses
ux
taxes
uch
benches
ush
dishes



Add ies to make nouns plural that end with a 
consonant and a y:

ulady
ladies
ufry
fries


Some nouns that end in f or fe change to ves
when made plural:


ucalf
calves

uknife
knives


Some nouns that end in o change to 
es when made plural.  Some change
 to s:

ukangaroo
kangaroos

upotato
potatoes



Some nouns do not change at 
all when made plural:


usheep
sheep

udeer
deer

Some nouns become a
 new word when made 
plural:
uman
men

ugoose
geese
